"The kid and I were in Yelm and craving BBQ. I looked up reviews and found Steele Barrel. I have no idea why we've never stopped before! The BBQ pulled pork loaded baked potato was absolutely delicious. I've had BBQ at other places around Thurston County and it's often fatty. Not the case here!Friendly service, too. We'll be back!"

"We found them through our wedding venue. Got to do a tasting and fell in love with the food and the people. We ended up using them for our wedding and they were fantastic! Everybody loved the food and we barely had leftovers after. It is one of the best BBQ places I have found not in the south. We will definitely go back when we get the hankering for some good BBQ!"

"The food is absolutely fire and the staff is awesome. We got Steele’s Smoked Bowl with pork belly and spicy bbq sauce, loaded potato with pulled pork and regular bbq sauce, and a side of the corn salad. Both sauces were awesome and I’m glad we tried both. You can’t go wrong with corn salad either. Didn’t get the Mac and cheese for myself today but I know it’s amazing."

"Had a great first experience at Steele Barrel BBQ, ordered brisket loaded Mac and cheese and brisket sandwich combo with fries and Mac and cheese as a side, meat was delicious. Really liked the Mac and cheese, tasted like an original recipe. We in hindsight regretted not ordering the cinnamon rolls or the special brisket and gravy! But planning to definitely eat there again. Met the owner who was very hospitable and personable! Thanks for the wonderful food and service!"

"Traveling through with a large group. Everyone was happy with their orders. Welcoming service. My combo was perfect; moist brisket sandwich (loved how it had no fat, lean meat), fries (crispy, perfect cut and battered, and a drink. Next time I hope to try the chicken wings and massive breakfast burrito."

"Brisket loaded baked potatoes was soooo yummy. Cinnamon rolls were fresh in the oven and delicious, so good as soon as my husband tried it he got up and bought another one to take home. And the new brisket and gravy was definitely a new favorite!"

"Today was my first time trying! The brisket and pulled pork were amazing. I really liked the Mexican street corn salad as well. The loaded fries were also amazing. Was not a fan of the mac and cheese however (just not my thing). I also wish they had more than 2 bbq sauces. (Couldn’t tell which one was spicy). Otherwise, very good first time experience and I’ll definitely be back!"
